I considered 99 Luftballoons, but the rum won out. So, why the focus on the number 99 on this fine day of March 9th, 2009? I won’t say. Instead, I’d like to turn your attention to the NEXT comic, which will be my 100th Kenny Chronicles comic! I have something exciting planned for that day, although I gotta admit it has nothing to do with the comic hitting 100. Instead, it has to do with Friday the 13th!
On Thursday, I’ll start work on a 13-hour comic book. The goal is to have 13 pages done in 13 hours. I’ll be finishing the comic on the morning of Friday the 13th so it can be posted that morning. At the moment, I plan on it going up in one post, even though I really should create some resemblance of a buffer. Considering how little time I set aside for my comic, it’s safe to say the 13-hour comic will not be translated into Spanish like the rest of my comics.
See you Thursday for my 100th comic!

Greetings, to the 100th Kenny Chronicles comic! Great things in the next few days. Tomorrow, I’ll be posting my 13-hour comic, which I’ll be drawing TODAY! 13 pages drawn in 13 hours. I don’t know what it’ll be, and that’s one of the rules of an x-hour comic. Drawing, as well as scripting, all have to be done in that number of hours. As far as I can find, I’m the FIRST person to do a 13-hour comic for Friday the 13th. I’ll start it on the 12th, but finish it on the 13th. I’m doing it this way so people will actually read it ON the 13th. I hope I can do this more often.
Number 100 is a great accomplishment, but 106 is even MORE special, depending on who you ask. Comic #106 will mark ONE YEAR of Kenny Chronicles. You might consider this the comic’s real birthday, but enough people call it an anniversary that I think I can use “birthday” for #100. Really, the two dates are so close together it doesn’t matter much. So keep watch on April 2nd.
So today, Friday the 13th, and April 2nd. Woot!

March 13th, 2009
At 2:50am(CST) today, on Friday the 13th, I finished a 13-hour comic. For those unfamiliar with 24-hour comics, the challenge is to make a comic book in the same amount of hours as there are pages. One page per hour. I’m the first person to do a 13-hour Friday the 13th comic. Ever.
The following comic is rated PG-13, in keeping with the 13 theme. Somebody asked me if the story would be scary, so I’ve included zombies for good measure. Enjoy.

I saw a beggar recently with a sign asking for a job. It seems like he’d have more luck looking in the classifieds than asking for a job on the street. Personally, I can’t spare money for beggars. I’m currently a fast food worker. Now, there are times when I can spare some FOOD, because I often take scraps home, but I’m only going to offer it if that’s what the beggar is asking for.
Probably the worst tactic with these guys, though, is begging at a street light. I’m all for helping others out, but when that light turns green, my charity goes to the people in the car behind me. If giving to one person steals time away from 4 people behind me, that doesn’t balance out. It really limits the beggar’s possible income.
When I can spare the money, the first place I’d donate to is the homeless shelter. I’ve had homeless friends, and I’ve come close to being homeless myself, so the homeless are first on my list. Not only would the shelter be an efficient use of the donation, I can use that as an excuse not to give beggars money!

Kenny Chronicles turns ONE YEAR OLD this month! After all this time, we finally get a title page. Plus, if you didn’t know who some of these characters were, now you do.
A crew from the United States is about to start interviewing the residents of this comic. We’ll find out a little more background information, and laugh at Kenny’s shortcomings.
…I think Kenny’s popsicle landed on my leg.

Some things in their documentary are true, like Tarnekis being created by pirate scientists, and many of the ships being stolen. However, like some documentaries, there’s also a bit of bias showing.
